How to get support with GNU Pascal

Here is what we recommend you to do when you have problems with GNU Pascal.

  1. Read the inofficial FAQ,
    http://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/~gnu-pascal/gpc-faq.html.

  2. Read the documentation,
    http://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/~gnu-pascal/gpc-doc.html.
If the FAQ and the documentation do not help you, you have detected a bug in it which should be reported. Please really do it, so we can improve the documentation.

  3. Look into the GNU Pascal mailing list archives. Perhaps your problem was already discussed on the list.
    ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/gnu-pascal/misc/gpc-list.1997
    ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/gnu-pascal/misc/gpc-list.1996.gz
    ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/gnu-pascal/misc/gpc-list.1995.gz
  4. Join the GNU Pascal mailing list by writing to
    gpc-request@hut.fi.
This list is maintained manually, so delays are possible.

  5. Write an e-mail to the GNU Pascal mailing list,
    gpc@hut.fi.

  6. Ask the Internet NewsGroups for help. There is no specialized group for GNU Pascal; please choose that one which is most appropriate for your problem. When in doubt, try
    comp.lang.pascal.misc.

  7. Don't forget to give back what you have obtained. Noone of us is getting money for answering your questions. Please do your part by answering the questions of others, instead.

  8. The GNU Service Directory (48 kB characters) is a list of people who offer support and other consulting services. It is also in the file etc/SERVICE in the GNU Emacs distribution, SERVICE in the GCC distribution, and /pub/gnu/GNUinfo/SERVICE on a GNU FTP host. Contact the FSF to get a copy or to be listed in it.
